North Melbourne forward Paul Curtis has been offered a three-match suspension for his tackle on Port Adelaide's Josh Sinn.

During the second term, Curtis can be seen chasing down Sinn from behind, before pinning his arms and driving him into the Adelaide Oval.

The 25-year-old didn't appear to hold up the Power defender nor slow himself down, which ultimately left Sinn concussed and removed from the game.

The Match Review Officer (MRO) graded the incident as careless conduct, severe impact and high contact.

In the same match between the Kangaroos and Port Adelaide, tempers flared between former Kangaroo Jason Horne-Francis and his old teammates.

Horne-Francis was fined $3,125 ($1,875 guilty plea) for instigating a melee. Jy Simpkin was sanctioned for the same charge, although he'll hand over $1,500 ($1,000 guilty plea).

Mitch Georgiades was also punished for tripping Dylan Stephens in the first quarter, but avoided any match suspension. He'll pay $3,000 ($2,000 guilty plea).

The MRO graded the Georgiades incident as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

In the earlier Saturday contest between St Kilda and Brisbane, two players were fined.

Lions defender Noah Answerth was charged for striking Jack Higgins during the third term, resulting in a $3,000 fine ($2,000 guilty plea). The MRO graded the incident as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact.

Liam Stocker will also reach into his back pocket for tripping Zac Bailey in the third quarter. He'll pay $3,000 ($2,000 guilty plea).

The MRO also didn't see GWS midfielder Tom Green worthy of a suspension, despite his hip coming into contact with Western Bulldogs youngster Joel Freijah's head.

Elsewhere, Adelaide defender Mitch Hinge was offered a one-match suspension for his strike on Andrew Brayshaw in Friday's clash with Fremantle.

His teammate Josh Worrell was also fined for a rough conduct charge, and will pay $3,000 ($2,000 guilty plea).

Kysaiah Pickett also found himself in the sights of the MRO, coming into contact with the umpire. He was fined $1,500 ($1,000 guilty plea).
