Collingwood forward Jordan De Goey and Adelaide defender Mark Keane will be sweating overnight as the MRO likely weighs up whether the pair receive suspensions for their respective acts of high contact during Thursday night's qualifying final.

De Goey appeared to elect to bump instead of going for a smother attempt on Adelaide defender Josh Worrell late in the third quarter, collecting Worrell's head with his shoulder on the way through.

The impact of De Goey's bump did not seem significant, with Worrell remaining on the field following the contact and has reportedly not suffered a concussion.

De Goey spoke with Channel 7's Mitch Cleary post-game and addressed the incident, highlighting that he saw the moment as a football act.

"It's just a simple one. I actually blocked the ball with my leg," De Goey said after the Pies 24-point victory.

"If you see, the ball comes off my leg, so that's just a smother I think. I got to the ball, it wasn't like I've just come past and clipped him at all.

"Obviously, hit the ball first and we braced for contact, both of us."

Keane seemingly attempted to elbow Sidebottom during the second quarter as he was sidestepped by the Magpies veteran, clipping Sidebottom on the way through.

While the action is clearly a nasty one, the connection made with Sidebottom was only minor, potentially helping Keane avoid a suspension.
