The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down one charge from Friday night's qualifying final between Geelong and Brisbane.

Cats midfielder Tom Atkins has been charged with making careless contact with an umpire during the first quarter.

The incident has led to a fine for Atkins, who can reduce a $3125 fine to $1875 with an early plea.

It's the second offence of its kind against Atkins' record for 2025, with the AFL's tackles leader also being charged with making careless contact with an umpire in Round 6. He paid a $1875 fine as a result of that charge.

No other player was charged from Geelong's 38-point win over the Lions at the MCG.
