The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down two charges from Friday's game between Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs, with Dogs veteran Tom Liberatore receiving a charge for striking.

The incident involving Liberatore and Lions midfielder Will Ashcroft occurred in the second term of the contest at the Gabba, with Liberatore making high contact on Ashcroft before play resumed at a ball-up.

The MRO has charged Liberatore with striking Ashcroft, with the premiership Bulldog's actions falling under the fixed financial sanction grading.

That results in Liberatore being handed a $3125 fine, which can be reduced to $1875 with an early plea.

Meanwhile, Lions defender Jaspa Fletcher has been charged with making careless contact with an umpire.

Fletcher can reduce his $1500 fine to $1000 with an early plea.

No other players were charged from Friday's game.
