North Melbourne forward Paul Curtis is likely to receive some extra attention from the Match Review Officer (MRO) after performing a dangerous tackle against Port Adelaide's Josh Sinn.

During the second quarter, Curtis can be seen chasing down Sinn, pinning both arms and then driving him into the ground.

The Power defender was defenceless throughout the contest, giving the MRO reason to believe the potential to cause injury is heightened.

The 25-year-old didn't attempt to roll Sinn nor slow down in his attempt to tackle, which won't also work in his favour.

Sinn was subbed out of the contest due to concussion, which could result in the impact being graded as severe, if the MRO determines it to be a reportable offence.

He will miss at least Round 8 after entering the mandatory concussion protocols.

GWS tagger Toby Bedford and Geelong captain Patrick Dangerfield received bans for their arm-pinning tackles in 2024, but successfully appealed to overturn the MRO's decision.

The MRO is set to hand down its findings from Saturday's games on Sunday evening.
