The AFL's Match Review Officer has handed down one charge from Thursday's game between Geelong and the Western Bulldogs, with Cats midfielder Bailey Smith hit with a fine.
The Geelong star has been charged with making careless contact with an umpire, which will see Smith pay a penalty of at least $1000.
The base sanction comes in at $1500, which can be reduced to $1000 with an early plea, while Smith can opt to challenge the charge in the hope of being cleared.
