The new video game AFL Evolution will be released on Friday May 5, 2017 after an announcement was made by the AFL and the AFL Players’ Association.

Final stages of production for the new game are currently being undertaken by AFL licensee Tru Blu Entertainment and Wicked Witch Software, with the game to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and eventually PC.

AFL Evolution will feature over 80 teams from the AFL, VFL, TAC Cup, NAB Under-18s Championships and International Cup, as well as bonus teams like the Indigenous All Stars.

The Career Mode will give fans an experience like never before, as they get to build a team from the ground up, with drafting and trading of players, training and salary cap management just some of many different features of the game mode.

The Player Creator allows for fans to create any sort of player they’d like, with many different features such as hair, body type, accessories and skill attributes all available for modifying.

AFL Evolution will be available at EB Games and JB Hi-Fi, as well as selected stores with official AFL licensed products.
