Central District forward Aidan Schubert has won the SANFL U18s MVP following a strong year with the Bulldogs at multiple levels.

The Gawler product played 13 games at the junior level this year, booting 28 goals and averaging 19.2 disposals, 7.5 marks and 4.4 clearances as a ruck-forward hybrid.

Schubert also played at both the senior and reserves levels for the Bulldogs this year, making his state league level debut in Central's elimination final loss to Norwood, where he kicked a goal from eight disposals and four marks.

An U18s MVP nomination for Schubert came in Round 2 of his draft campaign, with his 20-disposal and three-goal game against eventual premiers Sturt catching the eye.

Schubert would carry strong form into South Australia's U18s National Championships, booting 10 goals to sit second in the carnival's standings, second to teammate Mitch Marsh.

His strong four-game spell for the Croweaters would earn him a spot in the U18s All-Australian team, being one of seven South Australians to make the side.

Schubert's return to the SANFL U18s saw his season reach new heights, booting 12 goals in his final six games and amassing at least 20 touches in five of those appearances.

His MVP title sees him edge out the likes of McCallum Tomkins medallist Jack Cook, Sturt duo Jett Dahlitz and Louis Kellaway, and Glenelg sharpshooter Gabe Patterson, among others.

Schubert was one of four Bulldogs players to earn nominations, joining Cam Nairn, Matt LeRay and 2026 prospect Dougie Cochrane.

The 198cm tall teenager's draft season came to a close with Central District's senior SANFL exit, making next month's AFL Draft Combine the next step in his journey to the AFL.

Schubert is one of 14 South Australians to be invited to the National Combine, which will take place in Melbourne from October 3-5.
