The AFL has confirmed that Kick 2 Kick will return in 2023, allowing spectators to head onto the ground after the final siren for a kick of their own.

Selected matches will host a Kick 2 Kick each round, with Metricon Stadium and Giants Stadium to host in Round 1.

The program has been in effect since 2014, with more than 6 million fans participating in the on-field fun.

Executive General Manager Customer and Commercial at the AFL, Kylie Rogers, welcomed back Kick 2 Kick in a league statement.

“We're thrilled to welcome back the Macca's Kick 2 Kick program this season, which will provide fans young and old with a unique opportunity to experience our game on the hallowed turf at venues across the country,” Ms Rogers said.

“There's nothing better than running out onto the field and having a kick to kick with your friends and family, so I'd encourage all fans to get involved in the Macca's Kick 2 Kick program and create your own memorable footy moments.

“I'd like to thank McDonald's for its longstanding support of this initiative and look forward to seeing thousands of fans enjoy the Macca's Kick 2 Kick program throughout the season.”

All matches featuring Kick 2 Kick will be listed on the AFL's website, with Gold Coast vs Sydney and GWS vs Adelaide the selected Round 1 matches.
