Adelaide forward Callum Ah Chee is in doubt for a club debut in Round 1 after scans confirmed a low-grade hamstring.
Ah Chee, who has been cleared of a serious injury, failed to complete the State of Origin clash on Saturday after experiencing hamstring awareness.
The West Lakes club provided the following statement.
"Crows forward Callum Ah Chee has been cleared of a serious injury, with scans confirming a low-grade strain in his right hamstring," the statement read.
"Ah Chee came off the ground during the AFL's State of Origin match on Saturday after experiencing hamstring awareness late in the game.
"Crows General Manager High Performance Ian McKeown said scans confirmed the forward would need to spend a short term on the sidelines, but he remained a chance to be fit for Round One.
"It's unfortunate for Cal, but we're optimistic about his chances of being ready to go for our Round One match against Collingwood," McKeown said.
Ah Chee joined Adelaide via the pre-season draft as the Lions and Crows failed to reach an agreement in the trade period.
The two-time premiership Lion was one of multiple players injured during the revival of the Origin clash.
WA's Sam Taylor and VIC's Jacob Weitering both sustained injuries in the contest.
Taylor suffered a high-grade hamstring injury, which will see him miss the opening rounds of 2026, while Weitering fractured his rib, although he remains an outside chance to feature for Carlton in Round 1 against Richmond.
