The 2025 AFL Awards saw a variety of winners place their names among the history books, with Collingwood's Nick Daicos picking up the coveted Leigh Matthews MVP award as well as a third All-Australian Blazer.

Geelong's Bailey Smith and Gold Coast's Noah Anderson shared the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year, while Adelaide's Jordan Dawson was named best captain among his peers.

Melbourne's Max Gawn won a record-equalling eighth All-Australian blazer, while Bulldogs champion Marcus Bontempelli ticked off his seventh.

There was 11 first-timers in the All-Australian final 22.

Geelong forward Jeremy Cameron was officially awarded this year's Coleman Medal after booting 83 goals for the year. It is his second medallion, claiming his first as a Giant in 2019.

Cameron was also appointed the AA captain.

Cats awards didn't end there as Shaun Mannagh was rewarded with the AFLCA Best Young Player, as Fremantle's Murphy Reid won the equivalent trophy, albeit decided by the AFLPA.

Geelong spearhead Jeremy Cameron has been named the All-Australian captain, while Adelaide's Jordan Dawson was vice-captain.

Brisbane (Harris Andrews, Hugh McCluggage, Zac Bailey) and the Western Bulldogs (Bailey Dale, Ed Richards, Marcus Bontempelli) were represented the most with three selections.

Among the 22 names picked, 11 were first-timers, including Josh Battle, Zac Bailey, Jordan Clark, Hugh McCluggage, Kysaiah Pickett, Ed Richards, Matt Rowell, Bailey Smith, Riley Thilthorpe and Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera.

Melbourne's Max Gawn was the sole ruckman, and received a record-equalling eighth blazer, joining the likes of Gary Ablett snr, Gary Ablett jnr, Patrick Dangerfield, Lance Franklin, Robert Harvey and Mark Ricciuto.

Bontempelli followed close behind with his seventh selection in the side.

None of Carlton, Essendon, North Melbourne, Port Adelaide, Richmond and West Coast had a player selected in the final team.

The 2025 selection panel consisted of Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Nathan Buckley, Kane Cornes, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane and Matthew Pavlich.
