Overall
Naish is the son of former Richmond player Chris. Chris played 143 games for the Tigers through the 1990s, making Patrick eligible to join Richmond through the father-son rule.
He has a long and accurate handball which can get his side out of trouble, a penetrating kick and clean hands in the contest, but struggles with his kicking accuracy.
Mechanically, his kicking action is fine, but he has a tendency to miss targets, either over hitting, under hitting or leading his targets too far which puts pressure on his teammates and causes turnovers.
Naish predominantly plays on the outside but is still able to win his own ball. He can also push forward and has booted 13 goals in eight TAC Cup games this year.
He should attract a bid in the 7-15 range, which Richmond will almost certainly match.
