Sydney forward Dean Towers has recommitted to the club, signing a two-year contract extension.

Towers, who has played 30 games since being recruited with pick 22 in the 2012 National Draft, will remain with the Swans until at least the end of 2018.

“We are very pleased that Dean has recommitted to the Swans,” Swans Head of Football Tom Harley said.

“Dean showed significant improvement in 2016 highlighted by some very strong performances in the second half of the year.

“He adds a point of difference to our team and has the ability to impact the game in a number of ways."
