It is quite obvious Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield is having a simply incredible season.

It was epitomised yesterday when he broke the record for the most inside 50s in a home an away season.

Dangerfield's six inside 50s against the Lions at the Gabba yesterday, took him to 163 for the season, breaking Nick Daffy's record set in 1998.

The former Crow is likely to break the overall record shortly as well, with Jason Akermanis' 172 inside 50s from 2004, just nine ahead of Danger's current tally.

With Geelong likely to go deep in September this season, Aker's record looks to be on shaky ground.
