Collingwood veteran Steele Sidebottom has claimed his second Anzac Day Medal after a dominant performance against Essendon at the MCG.
A four-person panel decided the voting, with Sidebottom edging out teammates Jamie Elliott and Josh Daicos - who were the only other vote getters - for the award.
Magpies legend and former senior coach Nathan Buckley represented Fox Footy on the panel, with the football star turned analyst featuring in nine Anzac Day matches during his decorated career.
Fellow Brownlow Medal winner Gavin Wanganeen, who represented the Australian Football Hall of Fame, was also on the panel. Wanganeen played in the first ever Collingwood vs Essendon Anzac Day game in 1995 - his only feature in the annual match for the Bombers.
Brisbane champion Chris Johnson was also on the panel, representing the National Indigenous Radio Service, while Channel Seven pundit Abbey Holmes chaired the panel.
Each panel member cast votes of 3, 2 and 1, with the player who polls the most votes viewed best-afield.
Essendon captain Zach Merrett won last year's Anzac Day Medal, with his Collingwood counterpart for this week in Nick Daicos taking out the 2023 title.
Scott Pendlebury and Sidebottom were the only other past recipients set to feature in this year's clash.
Sidebottom joins Pendlebury as one of just five players to have won multiple Anzac Day Medals, with Sav Rocca, Dane Swan and James Hird the others.
