Western Bulldogs forward Jamarra Ugle-Hagan is understood to have returned to the Whitten Oval following a leave of absence that began in April.
Ugle-Hagan hasn't been sighted at any level of football since the Bulldogs' elimination final loss against Hawthorn last year.
Personal issues have forced the former Pick 1 away from the club, which culminated in spending time in Byron Bay.
Channel 9 journalist Tom Morris revealed that Ugle-Hagan was "remorseful" for his behaviour while addressing his teammates on Monday.
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan addressed the entire playing group this morning on his first day back at the club.
As part of what he said, he expressed remorse for some of his actions. Heโs hopeful of playing VFL football this season. The club is working through what the next period looksโฆ

Ugle-Hagan is hopeful that his desire to return to football will be met by the Bulldogs' higher-ups, with VFL games potentially on the cards later in the year.
Last week, coach Luke Beveridge revealed that he'd been meeting with the key forward, with an eye towards the 67-gamer returning to action.
"We're working through that. I've had some meetings with โMarra'," Beveridge said.
"He's come back from a month of doing everything he can to sort of refocus and work out what's next in his life and the next steps, and the proposition of playing some football is there.
"Whether it's in the distance or whether it's a month and a half away, I couldn't tell you.
"But we're hoping to have him back in it at the football club really soon, and that's about all I can tell you."
It is understood that the 23-year-old will reintegrate with the senior side at training on Tuesday.
Ugle-Hagan's return comes amid a heap of uncertainty around his future at Whitten Oval, where he is contracted until the end of 2026.
