West Coast midfielder Campbell Chesser has requested a trade to Carlton.

Chesser, who hails from Melbourne and played for the Sandringham Dragons in his draft year, joined the Eagles through the 2021 National Draft with Pick 14.

However, several injuries have limited the former first-round selection to 36 outings in four years. He featured in the final month of the 2025 season.

The Blues had been "circling" the 22-year-old, who was weighing up a move to his home state, or signing a two-year extension at West Coast.

Essendon had also expressed interest, but it is the IKON Park club that appears to have won the race.

Carlton has also expressed interest in delisted speedster Jack Petruccelle.

The Eagles are set to lose Oscar Allen (Brisbane) and Liam Ryan (St Kilda) to rival clubs.

The club did re-sign wunderkind Harley Reid to 2028.

West Coast has farewelled premiership heroes Jeremy McGovern and Dom Sheed to retirement, as well as Jayden Hunt.

Callum Jamieson and Loch Rawlinson were also delisted.

More to come.
