Eagles defender Liam Duggan has signed a new three-year deal to remain at West Coast until the end of the 2024 season.

West Coast confirmed on Thursday that the premiership backman has extended his stay in the blue and gold, adding to a strong season of re-signings for the Eagles.

Duggan joins the likes of Liam Ryan, Brad Sheppard, Jack Redden, Oscar Allen and Dom Sheed among those that have penned new deals past 2021.

“It’s exciting for me,” the 24-year-old said.

“We’ve got the three-year contract done and really happy to be at the club for a further three years – the club I’ve come to love and really want to be a part of for the future going forward as well. So, super exciting.

“This will take me through to 10 years. I’d love to be a one-club player, that’s been high on my priority since arriving at the AFL and arriving at this great club as well.

"That is something I’d love to be once my footy career is over.”

Duggan, a member of the Eagles' 2019 premiership side, has played 116 games for West Coast since making his debut in 2015.

The highly-rated defender joined the Eagles via the 2014 National Draft after plying his trade as a junior with Bacchus Marsh.

West Coast have confirmed a total of seven players have departed the club this season, while a number of key figures are yet to recommit past this year.
