SEN Breakfast co-host Tim Watson believes Geelong and Richmond will face off in the grand final this year, after the two sides finished in the top four.
The Cats won the minor premiership and will host Collingwood in their Qualifying Final, while the Tigers will travel to the Gabba to play Brisbane again.
“I’ve still got Geelong playing off in the Grand Final,” Watson told SEN Breakfast on Monday.
“I’ve got the Cats and the Tigers. We forgot about the Cats for a long time there.
“When they were going well early in the season, the type of football that they were playing and they’ll be able to reproduce that at some stage. I think they’re right on the cusp of producing it.”
The Tigers and Cats faced off in round 12, with Geelong smashing Richmond to the tune of 67 points.
