Jake Stringer has been subbed out of Essendon's clash with Richmond after suffering a nasty concussion.
The forward left the ground in the arms of trainers after a knee to the back of his head from Marlion Pickett who was attempting to leap over the grounded Stringer in pursuit of Zac Merrett.
Jye Menzie entered the game in place of Stringer as the Bombers look to send retiring fan favourite Michael Hurley out a winner.
