Retired Brisbane forward Joe Daniher is said to have interest from Melbourne, who are "attempting to convince" the key forward to return to the AFL.
The Demons and coach Simon Goodwin have looked to "making a pitch" to Daniher to pull the boots back on after calling time on his career last year following the Lions' grand final victory over Sydney.
Since retiring, Daniher has travelled overseas and currently lives in New South Wales, with his retirement coming as a shock last year as the 31-year-old sought to step away from football.
Speaking on 7 News, reporter Mitch Cleary has revealed that Daniher has garnered interest from the Demons, who are keen to add to their key forward stocks, holding the ex-Bomber and Lion in their sights.
"Melbourne and coach Simon Goodwin are attempting to convince Joe Daniher to make a return to the AFL less than 12 months after he called it quits,"
"The 31-year-old has spent recent months in Europe and now lives in northern New South Wales, but it hasn't stopped Goodwin and the Dees making a pitch.

"Goodwin was an assistant coach at the Bombers with Daniher for two years.
"It does seem like a long shot, however it does highlight ust how keen the Demons are to bolster their key forward stocks."
Daniher played 204 AFL games between 2013-2024, starting his career at Essendon as a father-son selection.
He sought a move to Brisbane at the end of 2020, heading north via free agency after a luckless few seasons in Victoria due to injury.
Daniher found great success with the Lions, booting 46 or more goals in three of his four campaigns in Queensland, spearheadinf Chris Fagan's forward line.
