Southport Sharks will meet Footscray Bulldogs in the 2025 VFL Grand Final after the pair of clubs dominated preliminary final weekend.
The Sharks kicked off Super Saturday with a resounding 88-point win over fellow standalone club Frankston Dolphins in front of the home crowd.
A former Eagle led the way for the Sharks, booting an unbelievable eight-goal haul from as many shots, while a former Sun also chipped in with an impressive midfield outing.
The Box Hill Hawks, meanwhile, couldn't recreate their AFL affiliate's success from Friday night, falling short to an excellent Footscray side, who controlled the contest from start to finish.

Southport Sharks (21.17 143) def. Frankston Dolphins (8.7 55)
Southport cruised to a dominant 88-point victory over Frankston in the early hours of Saturday afternoon, a six-goal opening term setting up the victory.
The Sharks were led by powerhouse forward Hugh Dixon and star midfielder Jacob Dawson.
Dixon, who played 11 AFL games between 2018-2023 for Fremantle and West Coast, kicked a bag of eight goals in the thrashing, while former Sun Dawson racked up 36 disposals and 10 clearances from the midfield, including 15 contested possessions, all of which were game highs.
Former Swan Zac Foot, who played two games for Sydney in 2020, was another player within Southport's best, claiming 28 disposals, kicking a goal and taking a game-high 15 marks.
The Sharks' win stamps their place in a second consecutive VFL Grand Final, seeking redemption for their 2024 loss to the Werribee Tigers.
Footscray Bulldogs (16.12 108) def. Box Hill Hawks (11.11 77)
The Footscray Bulldogs return to the VFL Grand Final for the first time since 2016 after comfortably overcoming Box Hill by 31 points at Whitten Oval on Saturday afternoon.
Western Bulldogs star midfielder Adam Treloar was brilliant as he continues to progress back to form following a stint on the sidelines with injury, recording disposals 31 disposals and five clearances.
Midfielder Anthony Scott, who has played 59 games at AFL level with the Bulldogs since being selected in the 2021 SSP, was also elite for Footscray, collecting 37 disposals, nine clearances and nine tackles in the win.
Forward Will Lewis continues to build on a stellar 2025 season for Footscray, unstoppable inside 50 as he kicked five goals to take his season tally to 39.
A low afternoon for the Hawks faithful worsened after club legend Luke Breust suffered a devastating knee injury during the second quarter. A Footscray player fell awkwardly onto Breust's right leg, causing Breust's knee to buckle at an ugly angle.
The loss of the veteran's impact sorely hurt the Hawks, with an 18-point game quickly spilling out to a five-goal deficit by three-quarter time and as high as 49 points during the final term.
However, budding Hawthorn talents Cam Mackenzie and Jai Serong starred, with Mackenzie leading Box Hill in disposals with 30 for the match, while Serong was key in the back half, taking eight marks.
