Ben Cousins

Fallen AFL star Ben Cousins is set to spend another night in jail as he vows to fight all 15 charges against him, reports Fox Sports.

Cousins is in police custody after allegedly being found with 2.5 grams of methamphetamine in Perth on Wednesday.

The Brownlow medallist was allegedly driving erratically in East Victoria Park before being arrested and taken to Kensington Police Station.

The 41-year old was also charged with aggravated stalking and 13 counts of breaching a violence restraining order between April 2 and 15, relating to his ex-partner Maylea Tinecheff, whom he reportedly tried to call over 100 times.

Cousins faced Armadale Magistrates Court on Thursday and will return on Friday.

His lawyer Michael Tudori said Cousins had been spending time with his children under a parenting plan but was cut off from them a month before the alleged offending by Mr. Tinecheff.

Mr Tudori said Cousins turned to drugs in a crisis because it is the way he “deals with stresses in his life”.

Cousins has been in and out of prison in recent years for his struggles with meth addiction and family problems, most recently walking free in August.

He appeared in a tell-all interview with Channel 7 just three weeks ago.
