Lions' CEO Greg Swann says he expects Carlton's Tom Bell to nominate Brisbane as his club of choice.
Bell is originally from Morningside in Queensland.
“We’ll probably have a couple of players in the next few weeks that we’ll announce will come and join us,” Swann said on SEN on Saturday.
“Tommy Bell, we think will maybe make a request to come home, but he’s contracted.”
Swann also confirmed that ruckman Matthew Leunberger is likely to leave the club.
“Yeah I’m not sure (if he can get to Sydney), I mean that’s something a bit out of our control because he’s a free agent,” said Swann.
“I know he’s met with Sydney, I think he’s had a chat to Essendon, so yeah he’s got a few chasing him.”
