Richmond forward Judson Clarke has committed to the Tigers for another year, signing a contract extension that keeps him at Punt Road until the end of the 2026 season.
The 21-year-old was selected with pick No.30 in the 2021 AFL Draft. He made an immediate impact on debut in 2022, slotting goals with his first two kicks against Port Adelaide.
After playing 13 senior games in 2023, Clarke's 2024 campaign was cut short by an ACL injury sustained in the VFL. He has since undergone a year-long rehabilitation and recently returned to football via the state league.
The Tigers' decision to extend Clarke's contract underscores their confidence in his potential to be a key contributor in the club's next generation.
Richmond General Manager of Football Talent, Blair Hartley, said Clarke's attitude and commitment throughout his recovery has been excellent, suggesting a strong return to football.
"The way Judson attacked his recent knee rehabilitation was first-class, and he has made an impressive return both on the training track and through the VFL,โ he said.
"He has thoroughly deserved this contract, and we look forward to seeing him get some continuity into his football and continue to improve through to 2026 and beyond."
Clarke's most recent appearance in the VFL saw him collect 16 disposals and impress with his two-way running on the wing as he aims for a return to the AFL.
