West Coast co-captain Oscar Allen will have his hands full as the disparities between the deal at the Eagles and Brisbane are revealed.

Allen is currently being courted by the reigning premiers in the hope of filling the Joe Daniher-sized void left following his shock retirement after the flag victory.

The 26-year-old reportedly has two significant contracts in front of him, with Channel 9's Tom Morris shining light on the details.

"The West Coast deal on the table for him is three years with triggers for a fourth," Morris said on Footy Furnace.

"The Brisbane deal is six years. How a significant injury can change that, I'm not too sure.

"I'm still of the firm belief that he wants to be at the Lions next year. So we'll see how that plays out at the end of the season."

Allen has struggled to remain on the park in 2024, and could spend more time on the sidelines after he sustained an injury in Sunday's loss to Carlton.

The Eagles forward is understood to have avoided "all the worst-case scenarios", with the early diagnosis being a Plantaris injury in his lower leg.

Speaking after the loss to the Blues, coach Andrew McQualter provided the latest on Allen's situation.

"We think it's not too bad. We've still got to work through the details, but we're confident it's not too serious," McQualter said.

"We think it's Plantaris. That's what we think at the moment, but we'll still work through the details and get a report early in the week.

"We saw him come off, and our medical team just briefly said that we've avoided all the worst-case scenarios, and we'll work through what's next.

"When you see a player go down with no contact off the ball like that, you think the worst. I think there's been a couple of cases of that this year. Fortunately, he's avoided that.

"He's OK. Everyone that gets injured is a bit emotional, and that's just normal."
