With calling teams for each broadcaster well established as the season begins anew, we've cast an eye over the current crop of those occupying the special comments chair.
There are some very familiar names, who've dominated the space for considerable amounts of time, and some fresh and exciting newcomers, too.
Who are those adding flavour and insight to a call team?
3David King
The man with the laptop. With the help of his friends at Champion Data, the North Melbourne champion revolutionised the use of statistics in football. Whether it be from the specials chair, sitting on a panel pre-game, or conducting the autopsy on a poor performance post-game, 'Kingy' is lethally adept at telling audiences what will, or has gone wrong.
Such insight is made all the more impressive when one considers that King's delivery makes you feel like your talking footy with a regular at your local pub, or with your neighbour over the back fence. What an asset!
