The list of the names still out-of-contract at the end of 2021 is star-studded.
With the mid-way point of the season approaching, clubs will want to be getting their big names off the market as opposition teams prepare offers for some of the game's biggest names.
The likes of Patrick Cripps, Marcus Bontempelli, Harry McKay, Jack Billings and Zach Merrett are all out of contract and could be tempted by big money and long-term offers to leave their current clubs.
Every club will have their eyes on potential new recruits, but they may need to get their own ducks in a row before looking elsewhere.
We've named the look at the priority out-of-contract re-sining for every club. Did we get it right?
North Melbourne
Ben McKay
Just like his twin brother Harry, Ben has had a terrific start to 2021. Playing on the best forwards every week isn't easy, especially when you're copping the second most inside 50's in the competition. McKay has battled away and is starting to win some of these big head-to-heads against the game's best forwards. North need to retain McKay as a sign that the youth believe in what David Noble is building.
