The 2025 pair of semi-final match-ups will have fans sitting on the edge of their seats.

Hawthorn's impressive victory over GWS in Sydney and Gold Coast's maiden finals have produced two must-watch games.

The Hawks will travel to South Australia to take on Adelaide, an area of the country they know so well, after their voyage there 12 months ago, albeit to face the Power.

Whereas the Suns will return to their home state to tackle "older brothers" Brisbane at the Gabba on Saturday in the first-ever QClash played in September.

Who will win?

What does history say?

Let's dive in...

A lengthy history between these two clubs, dating back to 1991, with the advantage slightly in Hawthorn's favour.

The two clashes in 2025 were split, with the hosts winning both contests at their respective home grounds, albeit in close encounters.

Adelaide and the Hawks have played in four finals against each other, with the latter holding sway three to one, including the famous 2007 elimination final, which was the 'I'm him' moment from Lance Franklin.

The 2012 preliminary final was also a match for the ages, which ended in a Hawthorn victory by five points.

The Crows will also be out to deny a 43-year first, when North Melbourne, in 1983, went out in straight sets after claiming the minor premiership.

Hawthorn knocked out the Kangaroos that year.

The winner will take on Geelong at the MCG.

The QClash has had some memorable moments, but when it comes to the scoreboard, Brisbane has saluted almost three times the amount. It should be noted that this included the Suns' formative years.

This year, both sides split the chocolates, although Gold Coast won by 11 goals in Round 20 at People First Stadium.

However, the Gabba has proven to be a struggle for the expansion club, claiming only two wins in 17 starts over the years, with the most recent coming in 2018.

It should be noted that when GWS, the expansion club, faced their big brother, Sydney, in the finals, they won the first three finals, before some Isaac Heeney heroics last year saved the Swans.

The winner will face Collingwood at the MCG.
