The AFL players have unveiled some of the quirkiest nicknames they have for their teammates in a story on AFL Media.

There were some fun, weird and flat-out bizarre nicknames tossed in there, but these were our five favourites:

1. Mitch "Brackets" McGovern (Carlton)

The former Crow was given the number 11 at his new club. And according to co-captain Patrick Cripps, it was the perfect way to take some flack out of the power forward.

"He's got the No.11 and everyone is pulling the piss out of him because of his solid build and the fact his No.11 look more like brackets," Cripps said.
