Alright, folks.

Fremantle

Will they be free in September again?

Prior to last week, the purple haze emanating from Perth's port was thick enough to touch.

Following the cessation of their three-game winning streak after a near on ten goal thumping by their arch-rivals, West Coast, this aforesaid fog evaporated quicker than you could say ‘finals'.

As the Dockers currently reside outside of the top eight as we enter the final weekend of the season's second month, should we, and their perennially dissatisfied fan base, hold any hopes of them rescaling the ladder's rungs?

According to Stats Insider, if you are holding your breath, you should probably exhale before your capillaries burst, as they give the lumpers a worse than 40% chance of playing finals for the first time since 2015.

Compounding this mathematical dismissal is the fact the league's chief number crunchers, Champion Data, also believe the Dockers to be the owners of the second hardest fixture from this week onwards.

So, although their ship is still pointing in the right direction for the first time in years, it appears it would take one hell of a Fremantle Doctor to propel the Fremantle Dockers back to September this season, as their spinnaker is far from full at the minute.
