With six weeks of the marathon run, the line between contenders and pretenders is becoming much more opaque.

Although 94.4% of the competition's 18-teams have now put a win on the board, the gap between first and last is still chasmic.

As we edged toward the end of the season's second month, the question marks surrounding every side – whether they are leading the league or languishing – are still aplenty.

With Round 7 set to start this Friday night, we have cast an eye across each of the league's combatants and have sought to answer the key questions facing each and every one of them.

Is the next fortnight as friendly as their fixture gets?

Having lambasted Brett Ratten's side for the better part of this year, I have decided to take a break this week and will instead look to the positives.

Despite the suggestion from some cynics that no game should be simple for the Saints given their current form, their next two clashes against Hawthorn and the Gold Coast is about as friendly as their cheap steak fixture will afford them.

There has always been a suggestion in football that there are no easy games, but as the Hawks and Suns collectively average less than 77-points per game, at least the Moorabbin men can expect not to be blown out of the water again this week.

As previously mentioned, when discussing their opponents this week, another encouraging sign is that Paddy Ryder will re-take his place in the ones alongside his fellow partner in crime, Rowan Marshall.

Despite current ladder standings, I am tentatively tipping the Saints this week, as their team – on paper at least – should prove too strong.

Still, games of Aussie Rules have never taken place on sheets of Reflex.
