Tasmania will host up to four AFL games in 2020 after North Melbourne confirmed they will return to their home away from home, according to The Mercury.

North Melbourne look set to play four contracted games at Blundstone Arena, with a deal being struck between the Tasmanian Government, AFL and Cricket Tasmania.

A window between early August and the middle of September has been allocated for four games to be played.

North Melbourne will enter a Hobart-based hub while their four opponents will fly in and out of the Tasmania.

As it currently stands, crowds of 4,000 people are allowed to attend games at Blundstone Arena, but that number could rise by early August pending discussions with local Government officials.
