After an impressive performance in Friday's pre-season match against the Giants, Lucas Camporeale has surged towards a potential Round 1 debut. The father-son recruit shone on the wing with 20 disposals and eight marks.

Former Giant Nick Haynes played strongly against his old side, recording 21 disposals and 10 marks in defence.

SSP recruit Francis Evans was quiet despite playing 73% match time, gathering just five disposals and one clearance.

Verdict: Nick Haynes to play Round 1, although Camporeale will be fiercely contending for selection.
