19-year-old Aaron Naughton will undergo surgery to repair his lateral ligament in his left knee. Scans confirmed the damage to the ligament after he landed awkwardly in the third quarter.

Naughton is due to return to training after the Christmas break.

According to AFL.com.au, Naughton won't be the only Bulldog going under the knife this post-season, as Tom Liberatore will have an operation to repair cartilage in his knee.

Wingman Lachie Hunter will join his premiership teammate in Liberatore, as he recently had a left shoulder reconstruction. Hunter is expected to return to full training before the Christmas break.

On-baller, Mitch Wallis is on track to be at 100 per cent by the end of 2019. Wallis had surgery on his lower leg to repair a stress fracture.
