Peel Thunder 3.10 (28) def. by West Coast 10.16 (76)

An evenly matched first quarter saw Peel Thunder trail by only 17-point, but a four goal haul in the third term saw West Coast extend their lead before ultimately winning by 48 points.

Despite the loss, Peel Thunder are still above West Coast on the ladder, but only by eight per cent. Bailey Banfield was a light of shining hope for Peel Thunder. The midfielder finished with 24 disposals and five tackles. Taylin Duman also had 24 disposals as well as a team-high 11 marks.

Luke Valente and Hayden Ballantyne both performed strongly, laying nine and seven tackles respectively the duo finished with a combined 25 disposals.

Peel Thunder hope to be back on the winners list when they come up against East Perth this weekend.

West Coast are sitting just outside the top five after their impressive win over Peel Thunder. Josh Smith was influential for the Eagles with a game-high 30 disposals.

Also finding plenty of the back was Brayden Ainsworth and Hamish Brayshaw who had 24 disposals apiece. Kurt Mutimer was also impressive with 20 touches and a goal whilst Jake Waterman continued his consistency up forward, booting another two goals.

West Coast have the opportunity to move up the ladder and potentially into the top five if they win against West Perth later this week.
