North Ballarat 9.13 (67) def. by Werribee 10.12 (72)

The Roosters got close to registering their first win of the year, however, came up short against Werribee.

Majak Daw was solid for the Tigers kicking three goals, while teammate Ben Jacobs had 43 disposals.

Lachlan Cassidy was impressive for North Ballarat, collecting 37 touches, and kicking a goal.

Coburg 9.7 (61) def. by Essendon 22.18 (150)

Coburg has slumped to 0-6 on the back of an 89-point loss to Essendon. Bombers big man, Tom Bellchambers, had a day out, kicking six goals. Kyle Langford was also very good for the victors, finishing with 34 disposals, and 2.3.

Keenan Posar was one of Coburg's few shining lights, he racked up 27 touches and took eight marks.

Northern Blues 17.11 (113) def. Sandringham 10.15 (75)

An impressive display from Shane Savage (29 disposals & two goals) was not enough for Sandringham, as they were beaten by 38 points.

Liam Jones was excellent for the Northern Blues, finishing the game with 30 touches, and 15 marks. Rhys Palmers was also good, collecting 30 disposals and kicking a goal.

Footscray 13.9 (87) def. by Geelong 14.15 (99)

Geelong held off a late charge from Foostscray to claim a two goal win. Darcy Lang was in fantastic form, he kicked four goals to go along with 25 touches. Tom Ruggles also got a lot of it, collecting 35 disposals.

Toby Mclean (26 disposals and 17 tackles) was very good for the Dogs, while Tom Liberatore (19 touches) did not overly impress.

Collingwood 11.10 (76) def. by Box Hill 16.6 (102)

Box Hill remain undefeated, after knocking off Collingwood by 26 points. James Cousins was one of Hawks' best, he had 29 disposals and laid 15 tackles.

Matt Scharenberg continued his hot form for the Pies, finishing with 41 disposals, while Jackson Ramsay had 38 touches, and a goal.

Casey 14.12 (96) def. Port Melbourne 8.5 (53)

Casey have handed Port Melbourne their first loss of the year. Jake Melksham was one of the best on, kicking two goals. Alex Neal-Bulllen was again good for the Demons.

It wasn't a great day for the Borough, however, Dylan Conway managed to kick four of his side's eight goals.

Williamstown 19.12 (126) def. Richmond 10.10 (70)

Williamstown have moved their way into the top four after a convincing 56-point victory. William Wheeler (three goals) was excellent for the Seagulls, as was Adam Marcon (two goals).

Despite the loss, Todd Elton managed to kick three goals for the Tigers, potentially earning him a recall.
