Sydney Uni 9.10 (64) def. by Sydney 15.16 (106)

Jordan Dawson kept up his strong form, recording 23 touches and a goal in Sydney's win over Sydney Uni. Jarrad McVeigh performed well with 19 touches and two goals.

Xavier Richards had a tough day against his old side, recording only eight touches and kicking a behind.

Brisbane 22.15 (147) def. Giants 7.9 (51)

Jonathan Freeman, and Liam Dawson both had five goals as Brisbane thrashed the Giants by 96-points. Matt Hammelmann was again good for the Lions, he also hit the scoreboard with four majors.

Despite the loss, Tendai Mzungu performed relatively well, with 22 touches and seven tackles.

Redland 11.17 (83) def. by Aspley 16.9 (105)

Three goals from ex-North Melbourne forward Ben Warren has guided Aspley to a 22-point win over Redland. Clinton French also chipped in with three goals for the victors.

Jackson Paine performed well despite the loss, he had 18 touches, 10 marks, and kicked four goals.

NT Thunder 10.10 (70) def. by Southport 19.9 (123)

Southport surprised everyone by knocking off the NT Thunder at TIO Traeger Park. Hamish Shepheard led the way for the Sharks kicking six goals, while Josh Baxter chipped in with four.

Darren Ewing followed up his 10-goal haul last week with three for the Thunder against Southport.

Canberra 5.10 (40) def. by Gold Coast 19.8 (122)

Will Brodie may have earned himself a spot in the ones next week, as he had 28 disposals and kicked three goals in Gold Coast's win over Canberra. Keegan Brooksby was also excellent for the Suns finishing with five goals.

Jordan Harper was yet again Canberra's best player, with 27 disposals and a goal.
