Sydney star Luke Parker has signed a five-year contract extension with the Swans, keeping him at the club until at least the end of the 2021 season.

The 23-year-old, who in 2014 became the youngest player in the club's history to win the club champion award, was being chased by several Victorian clubs with his contract expiring at the end of 2016.

โ€œWhen you look at your list, and you look at the on and off field attributes you want your players to display, Luke certainly ticks those boxes,โ€ Swans General Manager of football Tom Harley said.

โ€œHeโ€™s a Club Champion at a young age, the youngest player ever elected to the Swansโ€™ leadership group, a fantastic person to have around the footy club and a terrific player.

โ€œTo have Luke, a Victorian kid, commit to the Swans for five-plus years is just a fantastic endorsement of the footy club.โ€
