Both the Eagles and Bombers were dealt big injury blows in last night's clash at the Gabba.
West Coast skipper Luke Shuey hurt his hamstring and bizarrely attempted to play through the tweak in the fourth quarter, only to be forced to exit the game early.
Speaking to reporters after his side's 15-point win, Eagles coach Adam Simpson said Shuey tried to run out the game as he was set to miss time regardless.
"Regardless [of coming back on] it was going to be a couple of weeks," Simpson said.
"At three-quarter time he started on the bench and he came out and ran around but he didn't do any more damage, I don't think, so he's probably going to miss a couple of weeks.
"That probably takes us to the end of the season. That's the way it is."
While Shuey will be a certain omission, the Eagles could welcome back Josh Kennedy (concussion) for Sunday's clash against the Western Bulldogs.
West Coast climbed back into the top four following last night's win.
In other injury news, emerging Essendon star Andrew McGrath could miss the rest of the season after suffering an ankle injury against the Eagles.
The former Pick 1 was ruled out of the game from the second quarter after he twisted his lower leg awkwardly.
McGrath ended the night on crutches icing up his left ankle.
"It looks bad. We won't guess at the diagnosis, but it's a high ankle sprain which often end up being those syndesmosis injuries," Bombers coach John Worsfold said.
