St Kilda forward Dan Butler has suffered a dislocated elbow during Sunday's contest against Sydney at Marvel Stadium.
During the second term, Butler got wedged between Sam Wicks and teammate Max Heath in the midst of a tackle, and came off third best.
Saints players immediately saw the discomfort the former Tiger was in, and signalled toward the bench at requesting assistance from the club doctors.

Butler was replaced by Hunter Clark. He finished the game with four disposals and three tackles.
The Saints were leading by 10 points at the main change following three unanswered goals to finish the second quarter.
Captain Jack Steele is curbing the influence of Swans star Isaac Heeney while Max Hall has continued his impressive form with two goals and nine touches in the opening half.
More to come.
