St Kilda's members have passed the removal of a presidency term limit, which was previously capped at six years.
Current president Andrew Bassat's term is now open-ended.
The result of the club vote was announced at yesterday's AGM at Moorabbin, which is a stamp of approval of Bassat's aggressive push to improve the Saints' football stocks.
The St Kilda president has been on the front foot in the player acquisition space, going hard for Tom De Koning, Jack Silvagni and Sam Flanders in the most recent trade period.
The move aligns with powerhouse clubs like Collingwood, which ticked off Eddie McGuire holding the presidency for 23 years.
Just last week, North Melbourne's bid to extend Sonja Hood's term was knocked back by members.
