A second AFL team has agreed to play against Port Adelaide in China, CEO Gillon McLachlan has said.

The Power announced on Thursday that it would play a game for premiership points in China, with the aim of playing the match in Shanghai as early as next year.

"We have willing teams, we have an agreement with a (second) club, which I won't talk to, and we have agreed to do it," McLachlan said in China on Thursday.

The league is yet to reveal the name of the second side, but McLachlan said the club would be reimbursed for giving up their home game.
