Season Preview: Richmond

2020 Recap What is there to say? The Tigers did it again as they won back-to-back flags and their third in four years. They were stellar and showed the grit and fight of true champions. Off-season Grade: C- Hard to judge too much here with such little player movement. Higgins loss has all the makings of Dan Butler and he looked the goods in a recent scratch match. They didn't bring much in through the draft but Maurice Rioli Jr comes in with some hype around him for obvious reasons. Defining Period There is the burning question around whether or not the Tigers have the same hunger as those they defeated last year (and the year before), the answer has to be "surely not". But that doesn't mean there isn't hunger there. They will be tested through rounds 7-10 when they play some of their top four competitors, they face the Western Bulldogs (round 7), Geelong (round 8) and Brisbane (round 10) with a clash against the GIANTS sandwiched in there. (Photo by Chris Hyde/Getty Images)[/caption] Strengths and Weaknesses Do they have a weakness? If so no other side has been able to exploit it well enough to stop them much. If there was any real area for concern it may be the future, while this dynasty rolls on there a kids that aren't getting a look in and therefore not developing as their advisories might be. All worth it say the Tiger Army. Prediction 3rd They'll be there or there abouts again. They've never been one to dominate a home and away season and the best sides usually don't fit that profile. But there's no reason they won't be in the premiership discussion again.
