St Kilda head coach Ross Lyon has wasted little time in clearing house after his side's elimination final loss to the Giants on Saturday afternoon, with youngsters Jack Bytel, Leo Connolly, Jack Peris and Oscar Adams told their days at Moorabbin are over.
Adams' time at Linton Street did not go off without a hitch, however, with the 20-year-old suspended by the club following a drink-driving-related car accident in March of last year.
Each of Bytel (22 games), Connolly (7) and Peris (1) each represented the Saints at senior level during their tenures at the club, with the latter making his debut during St Kilda's agonising defeat to the Suns in Round 18.
Speaking by way of an official club statement on Tuesday night, St Kilda's Acting General Manager of Football, David Misson, wished to thank the four names for their efforts.
“All four young men have been popular members of our playing list during their time at the Saints, giving their all and living our values,” Acting General Manager of Football David Misson said.
“We wish Jack, Leo, Jack and Oscar all the best for their future endeavours and they leave knowing they'll always be part of the St Kilda family.”
