Defenders

Back Pocket: James Sicily (Hawthorn)

James Sicily was a rock in defence for Hawthorn on Easter Monday, finishing with 25 disposals (20 kicks), eight marks, 11 intercept possessions, four score involvements and 502 metres gained.

Full Back: Dougal Howard (Port Adelaide)

Howard played lock down roles on both Josh Kennedy and Jack Darling and kept them to one goal combined, while also recording 20 disposals, five marks and eight intercept possessions.

Back Pocket: Jake Lloyd (Sydney)

Jake Lloyd was everywhere against the Tigers and finished with 37 disposals (28 kicks), nine marks, three tackles, seven intercept possessions and 703 metres gained.

Half Back: Brodie Smith (Adelaide)

In his 150th game for Adelaide, Smith played his best game since returning from the knee injury suffered in the 2017 finals series. Smith recorded 27 disposals, five marks, eight score involvements, 674 metres gained and kicked two goals.

Centre Half Back: Michael Hurley (Essendon)

Hurley played on Zieball and kept him to six disposals and zero scoring shots, while also recording 25 disposals, 12 marks and gaining 376 metres.

Half Back: Pearce Hanley (Gold Coast)

Hanley played one of his best games for Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon, finishing with 29 disposals (22 kicks), six marks, four tackles and 582 metres gained.

Centre

Wing: Ricky Henderson (Hawthorn)

Henderson continued his hot start to 2019 on Monday where he recorded 33 disposals, ten marks, two tackles, 575 metres gained, ten score involvements and he also kicked two goals.

Centre: Patrick Cripps (Carlton)

In Carlton’s first win of 2019, Cripps recorded 37 disposals at 84% efficiency, 16 contested possessions, 11 clearances, seven score involvements and two tackles.

Wing: Jack Billings (St Kilda)

After moving further up the ground in 2019, Billings has gone from strength to strength and on the weekend he finished with 28 disposals, seven marks and kicked two goals. He was one of Saint Kilda’s best in their big win over Melbourne.

Forwards

Half Forward: Michael Walters (Fremantle)

Walters split his time between the midfield and the forward line in Fremantle’s shock win over the Giants. Walters recorded 25 disposals, six marks, laid two tackles and booted three goals.

Centre Half Forward: Matt Taberner (Fremantle)

Taberner is a huge presence in the forward half and is beginning to become more consistent at AFL level. He finished with 21 disposals, took 13 marks (four contested) and kicked three goals.

Half Forward: Jack Petruccelle (West Coast)

On a dark day for the Eagles, Petruccelle was a shining light kicking five of the Eagle’s eight goals. He also recorded 18 disposals, seven marks and laid three tackles.

Forward Pocket: Eddie Betts (Adelaide)

In his 300th game, Eddie put on a show like only Eddie can. Betts had 14 disposals and kicked six goals, including one of the goals of the year.

Full Forward: Harry McKay (Carlton)

Is McKay ready to breakout and become one of the better key forwards in the competition? He was massive in the win over the Bulldogs where he recorded 20 disposals, 11 marks (five contested) and kicked four crucial goals.

Forward Pocket: Tim Membrey (St Kilda)

Membrey played a key role in the win over the Demon’s. He recorded 12 disposals, eight marks, laid four tackles and kicked four goals.

Followers

Ruck: Ben McEvoy (Hawthorn)

McEvoy is having a career best year. On Monday, he recorded 16 disposals, six marks, 37 hit outs and kicked two goals.

Ruck Rover: Zach Merrett (Essendon)

Merrett was back to his best on Good Friday in the win over North Melbourne, finishing with 39 disposals, four marks, seven clearances and nine tackles.

Zach Merrett and Joe Daniher

Rover: Adam Treloar (Collingwood)

Treloar was very influential in the win over Brisbane on Thursday. He recorded 35 disposals, eight marks, five clearances, 12 score involvements and 531 metres gained.

Interchange

Dustin Martin (Richmond)

Martin looked refreshed after a week off due to suspension, recording 25 disposals, five marks, nine score involvements, five clearances, 500 metres gained as well as kicking three goals.

Sam Petrevski-Seton (Carlton)

Petrevski-Seton played his best career game on the weekend and was one of Carlton’s best. He finished with 35 disposals, seven marks and clearances and kicked a goal.

Tim Kelly (Geelong)

Kelly was shadowed by Hawthorn’s Dan Howe for most of the game but was still able to have a major impact. Kelly recorded 29 disposals (22 kicks), five marks, three tackles, four clearances and kicked two goals.

Brandon Matera (Fremantle)

Matera kicked four goals in the shock win over Geelong in a vintage small forward role. He also recorded 16 disposals and four marks.
