Defenders

Back Pocket: Jake Lloyd (Sydney)

Jake Lloyd played a massive game as usual with 31 disposals at 80% efficiency. He would be a huge loss to the Swans if they can’t re-sign him.

The Giant’s skipper leads by example each week and was a key factor in keep the Crow’s powerful forward line under control for most of the game.

Back Pocket: Aliir Aliir (Sydney)

Aliir has become one of the best intercept marks in the competition. He took 10 marks in total on Sunday which was second highest on the ground.

Centre

Wing: Lachie Neale (Fremantle)

People always talk about Nat Fyfe when it comes to the Dockers’ midfield but Lachie Neale is a star in his own right. 34 touches and a goal to help Freo fight off the Blues who put up a good contest.

The rise of this Essendon midfielder this year has been enormous for the team. On Friday night he had 29 disposals, six clearances, seven inside 50s and kicked two goals.
