North Melbourne veteran Drew Petrie is racing the clock to be fit for his side's crucial clash with St Kilda this weekend due to a left hand injury.
Petrie was clearly hampered by the injury at training on Monday, wearing a protective guard and only marking the ball with his right hand.
He was restricted to kick-to-kick and handball sessions away from the main group.
