North Melbourne has lodged paperwork at AFL House to acquire Toby Pink as a delisted free agent.

Pink, who was last AFL-listed with the Sydney Swans in 2019, had been strongly linked with the Kangaroos over the course of the past few days.

Roos list boss Brady Rawlings flagged North's interest in upgrading its key-defensive stocks, with Pink plying his trade as a key backman with Glenelg in the SANFL.

Late Friday afternoon, North Melbourne officially penned Pink to a contract.

Pink spent three seasons on Sydney's list between 2016-19 and did not manage an AFL debut.

In addition to Pink, the Kangaroos may have another move or so to potentially navigate before the conclusion of this year's free agency and trade periods.

North has signalled its interest in possibly acquiring Richmond defender Bigoa Nyuon as a free agent, however, a deal is yet to be completed as the Friday 5:00 PM (AEDT) free agency signing period deadline approaches.

Meanwhile, prior to Friday, the Roos completed exchanges for Sydney midfielder Dylan Stephens and Carlton speedster Zac Fisher, and, on the other hand, farewelled free agents Ben McKay and Todd Goldstein to Essendon.

The trade window closes next Wednesday, October 18 at 7:30 PM (AEDT).
