Richmond forward Ben Griffiths has signed a two-year contract extension.

The new deal with keep Griffiths at Punt Road until the end of the 2018 season.

The 24-year-old has played 61 matches for the Tigers, including 13 this season, booting 42 goals.

He joins Shaun Grigg, Bachar Houli, Shaun Hampson, Oleg Markov, Sam Lloyd and David Astbury in signing new deals with Richmond in the past three weeks.

“Ben has all the attributes of a powerful key forward, and we’ve seen how valuable he can be in some of his performances this season,” Richmond General Manager of Football, Dan Richardson said.

“We’re looking forward to Ben taking his game to another level next season and beyond.”
